Insulating Attic in Windsor, CT

Most homes have that pink and fluffy insulation in their attics but did you know that it is doing very little to keep your energy in your home. Dr. Energy saver can help you. That is what we did to a homeowner in Windsor, CT. The attic had some pink and fluffy insulation but it was all scattered around and was not densely packed so it was doing absolutely nothing to help insulate.

At Dr. Energy saver, we got into the job and were determined to make this home right and make the homeowner happy. Our team Removed all the old useless insulation and threw it all away. We applied moldX2 Cleaner and MoldX2 Botanical. This solution is non-abrasive and non-flammable and is sprayed on areas where there are mold and mildew stains. This is a plant-based solution with no harmful odors. Next, the team created a floor deck made of foamax board insulation. This is a cool double feature. This means there is part of the attic that will be walkable and able to store valuable but can also keep them safe from moisture. The rest of the attic where there is no walking space was insulated with TruSoft cellulose. This fluffy gray material takes the place of the pink insulation and works better. We always finish up the job by cleaning the area and any mess we created.
