Insulating Crawl Space in Agawam, MA

Challenge

Problem: 

Homeowner had damaged and moldy insulation in their crawl space ceiling and had a massive hole in their crawl space door. They were experiencing massive amounts of energy loss and high fuel bills. This homeowner was really suffering and called us up to help them solve their problem. We went into the home for an expectation and found that that we can fix this problem the customer is talking about.

Solution:

After inspecting the house and figuring out what we exactly needed to do. We talked to the homeowner to make sure they were fine with what we were doing. The homeowner agreed and we got right into action. First starting out with clearing away all the old and moldy insulation from the crawl space that was making the crawl space smell. Then we sprayed spray foam around the rim joists making it sealed up and air tight so no air gets through the cracks and no energy is lost from the home. Lastly we finished up the job by completely sealing off the crawl space door making it so no heat or A/C can get through. The owner is happy and can enjoy their summer with a cool home without having to spend a ton of money on A/C when it will just go out of the home.
