Knee wall and Attic Insulation in West Suffield

Problem:

This home has a knee wall space and an attic. The homeowner was trying to figure out why their home was not cold even though they had the A/C on all day. The homeowners found us and reached out for help. We concluded that the knee wall space and the attic were not well insulated and needed to be worked on. A poorly insulated attic could make you spend more on heating and cooling your home in the long run. The attic in the summer gets well into 100 degrees Fahrenheit This heat is all coming down from your attic into your home. Now there is a battle happening. The A/C and the heat are battling out.

Our team figured out the best way to fix the battle between the A/C and the heat was to fully insulate the attic. Our team talked it over with the homeowner and they agreed. Now it was time to beat the heat. We took out all the old insulation that was not doing its job, replaced it with our special SilverGlo insulation, and sealed up all the sides with ZypFoam. This is a thick foam board that has a 24% increased R-value than the old insulation. After the SilverGlo was installed the team sprayed R60 TruSoft Cellulose. This will not burn, get moldy or attract pests but it will be a thick layer and keep your house insulated. 

The crew cleaned up and made sure the homeowner was happy and this homeowner was extremely happy.
