Photo Album: Air Sealing a Chimney in Chicopee, MA

This homeowner wanted to reduce air loss in his home.  Building code requires no combustible materials be within 2" of a masonry chimney.  Millions of homes have an airspace, called the chimney chase, that runs from the basement right to the attic.  Air leakage around the chimney chase is one of the largest air leaks in a home.  Our Team air sealed the chimney stopping this major source of air leakage.  This home will be more comfortable and easier to heat and cool.
