Photo Album: Insulating a Detached Garage in Lebanon, CT
This homeowner in Lebanon, CT came to us looking to insulate a detached garage with an enclosed porch above that was just getting built.
In order for the garage and porch to stay comfortable, we had to block heat and air flow. We first installed our SilverGlo insulation foam board between the exposed studs you can see on the tops of some of the walls. SilverGlo is graphite infused and has a radiant barrier facing to help keep heat in during the winter and out in the summer. We then reinforced this foam with a layer of spray foam.
We also insulated the ceiling buy installing our Insulweb polypropylene webbing that allowed us to blow in cellulose in that rafter space above and stop air flow between the garage and porch.
Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions, this garage now makes a great workshop and the homeowner can work on projects with ease.
