Total Basement Finishing in Westfield, MA

This homeowner had an unfinished basement and wanted part of it finished while keeping the other part still unfinished. They wanted to make a separate room in the basement. The homeowner told us they wanted to make the separate room into an office. They contacted us and asked if we also did basement finishing and we said yes and gladly took the job.

Solution:
The team got to work and put down all the metal framing for the new room, making sure the structure is safe and secure. Then the team got to putting in Foamax boards in between the framing so that no energy is lost in that area of the basement. The biggest part of the job is installing the Zen boards on either side of the wall. These Zen boards are a ¼-inch thick encapsulated fiberglass core with a reflective foil vapor barrier on the back side and a decorative vinyl finish on the front side. It stops water vapor from coming through the wall into the basement air. With no water vapor coming through the sides of the walls there will be no mold and no odors for now and in the future. The team also put up a drop-down ceiling and Therma dry elite plank flooring to finish up.
