Crawl Space Insulation Photo Album: Encapsulating a Crawl Space in Enfield, CT
This homeowner reached out to us looking for assistance with her crawl spaces in her home. Her crawl spaces were completely uninsulated -- meaning there were moisture issues, musty and "odd" smells, and freezing cold rooms in the winter.
Part of the way we helped this homeowner was by encapsulating her crawl spaces. We started by laying down our dimpled drainage mat. We then installed our SilverGlo™ wall insulation and sealed around it using ZypFoam one-part spray foam. The next step is to insulate the rim joist (the perimeter of the home) with our two-part expanding spray foam. This both seals and insulates all cracks and crevices. The dimple mat then got covered with our TerraBlock™ floor insulation. It was then encapsulated by our CleanSpace™ crawl space encapsulation liner, which features UltraFresh™ anti-microbial ingredients. CleanSpace™ is a 20 mil thick liner that is fastened to the floor of the crawlspace.
Now, this homeowner will have a warmer home with lower energy bills for years to come!
