This homeowner called us hoping that we would be able to help him with his basement. It had a lot of issues, and one of those was that the basement was not properly insulated. The only insulation in the basement was fiberglass in the rim joist. (The rim joist is the perimeter of the floor framing system along the exterior of the house). Unfortunately, fiberglass insulation allows a lot of airflow through and around it.
Luckily, we had the perfect solution for this customer. We removed the fiberglass and replaced it with two-part closed cell spray foam. This spray foam expands and fills all cracks and gaps in the rim joist and over the sill plate. Now, this home will be much more comfortable, and there are no more air leaks in the basement!
This Home in Canton, CT was experiencing drafts and needed a Rim Joist insulation.
This homeowner in Adams, MA called us out to their home for an estimate on spray foam insulation in their basement because they were getting a lot of cold air in the area. We conducted our full home energy evaluation and noticed an old, open sump pump hole in the basement floor! This was for one, dangerous, and two was letting tons of air leak out from their home! This will create humid basements in the summer, and possible floods.
Now we know what we need to do to fix this problem. Dr Energy Saver SuperSump system is well engineered. We dig a hole in the floor to make sure the pump will fit. Then we drill the pipe to the rim joist. The water that would be in the basement then goes into the ground and discharges through an outlet. The water then is pumped outside away from the house where it is properly drained.
Now this home no longer has an open hole allowing air, and water into the basement thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions!
This homeowner in Blanford, MA called us to his home to see what we could do about his water problem in his basement. One of the issues he had was that he had no sump pump!
To help this home owner we installed our Triple Safe Sump Pump. First thing we have to do is jack hammer away the concrete so we can create a hole for the pump to sit in. Then we lay some stone down in the hole and put the pump housing in and make sure its level with the rest of the basement. Once that is done we fill the hole with more stone so we can concrete the floor. Once this is all done we run the PVC pipe out of the basement, through the rim joist and away from the house.
Now that Dr Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions came and took care of this problem, this homeowner will not have to worry about water in his basement anymore!
This home owner in Blandford, MA called us to his home to see if we could help reduce the amount of humidity that was in his basement. When our building science specialist got to the home he knew exactly what to do.
To fix the problem that was occurring we had to insulate the basement walls. A lot of cold from the outside was conducting into the basement through the walls. When this cold air hit the warm air in the house it created humidity. So, we use our Foamax Insulation panels on the walls. This treatment will help stop any outside elements from coming into the basement and affecting this space.
Now that Dr Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions came to this home and did this treatment, this home owner will not have to worry about humidity in his basement ever again!
