Keeping Temperatures Consistent in Auburn, MA

This homeowner in Auburn, MA called us out to their old home for an energy evaluation. We concluded that the old fiberglass insulation in the attic was not efficient. Their home was still freezing in the winter, and super hot in the summer.

We removed all of the old, nasty fiberglass insulation and got ready to use our SuperAttic treatment for this homeowner. We plan to install our SilverGlo foam insulation boards on the underside of the roof deck and the gable end. In this after photo, you can see the SilverGlo was installed on the gable ends! Next up, under the roof deck!

Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions this home will have more consistent temperatures, and is more energy-efficient!

Reducing Ice Dams in Worcester, MA

This homeowner from Worcester, MA called us about ice damming problems. They experienced costly fuel bills during the cold months of the year. After our evaluation and inspection, we found major heat loss due to inefficient insulation and air leaks.

To fix this common problem, we use our SuperPlatform treatment. First, we removed the existing insulation; remove all of the old insulation and properly dispose of the materials off site. In addition, this homeowner requested more storage space, so we accommodated and made a catwalk for easy access. We laid our 4" SilverGlo foam board across the wooded walkway. Next, we installed plywood over the foam board and secured it. Finally, we dense packed our TruSoft cellulose insulation to complete the project.

Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions, this customer is happier in their warm and comfortable home - and no longer dealing with ice damming issues!

Air Sealing Top Plates in Watertown, CT

This homeowner contacted us because she wanted to save on her heating costs.  Air sealing top plates is important in stopping conditioned air from leaking into the unconditioned attic space.  Top plates are at the top of every wall in every home.  During construction, there is a quarter inch gap left.  This gap allows warm air to escape in the winter and cool air to escape in the summer.  Our team air sealed all the top plates in this attic.  This homeowner will save on her heating costs and her home will be more comfortable year round.
